In July 2014, a contract was signed between Tadbir Omran Boland Payeh Company and MSD Co. by the afore-mentioned title. The reason for the structure’s vulnerability in these points was announced to be the low compression resistance of the concrete, and these services were planned to be executed: 1) studies of determining the resistance of the existing concrete including standard curing concrete tests according to the ASTM C31 regulations and the evaluation and analysis of the results, 2) Strength evaluation of the existing condition of the vulnerable points of the floors (beams and slabs), 3) Strengthening studies and presenting the strengthening plan by using the FRP strengthening systems. Hence, the strengthening studies of the vulnerable bending elements were planned and the strengthening design was presented by using the FRP systems.
