Retrofitting of AryaSasol Petrochemical Buildings

The retrofitting project of Arya Sasol Petrochemical Company’s administrative building in Asaluyeh was defined to repair and strengthen the concrete joists of the building’s floors. According to the structural details of the project, the bending strengthening of the concrete joists of the floors was executed by implementing strengthening systems of carbon-fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). The services offered by MSD Co. in this project were the execution of FRP strengthening systems including the operations of concrete repair and FRP installation according to the ACI 440.2R-08 regulations and the constructor’s technical and executive specifications.
