After seismic evaluation of the existing building, structural deficiencies were identified due to faulty design, construction defects and Low strength concrete. At the end of seismic rehabilitation, adding new shear wall in longitudinal direction and strengthening of the weakened beams and columns in transverse direction (by FRP systems) of structural frames were proposed and approved by client.

In this project, MSD was engaged to execute concrete repair, FRP systems and adhesive post installed anchors for structural strengthening purposes including retrofitting of the 60 weakened beams by FRP flexural strengthening systems, increasing the axial compression strength of the 15 weakened columns by providing confinement with FRP jacket and executing the post installed anchors in the concrete beams and columns. Over 900 m2 CFRP and 1500 anchors successfully executed by MSD in total.
