In this project MSD was engaged in seismic rehabilitation and strengthening of the 8-storey concrete structure to enhance a floor. Inadequate strength of some beams and columns, in some stories, has caused seismic deficiencies of structure. Considerations show that FRP systems were desirable alternative to strengthening of the weakened elements. Therefore FRP systems were used to enhance the flexural strength of the weakened beams and FRP jacket were used to increase the axial compression strength of the weakened columns (were weak in which compression failure is the controlling mode in P-M diagrams).
